Sleepy Owl Mason Jar Cozy

Mason jars are one of my favorite ways to store things - crochet hooks, buttons, pens. A while ago I made a fox mason jar cozy I seem to have a bit of a problem with collecting crochet hooks. Does one really need five of the same hook. Apparently 😊

But then I realized I have a problem. Well, other than having too many hooks. My pens were getting lost among all those hooks. Solution... buy another mason jar and make another cute cozy for it. Introducing the sleepy owl mason jar cozy!

I chose to make mine with blue and gray because eventually, those will be the main colors when I finally get around to redoing my office. But you can use whatever colors match your house.

Happy Cactus Pin Cushion

It seems everywhere I turn I see a succulent.  If you're like me (crafty with a black thumb), it might be better to make yourself a happy little cactus. If you're a crafter, you can stick all your pins in needles in your cactus. Or you can one of these cheerful guys for someone you know who also loves plants but also has a black thumb.

Fox Mason Jar Cozy

What does the fox say? I really don't think that's a thing anymore, but that doesn't mean foxes are adorable!

I've been debating on crocheting mason jar covers because when you put a tealight candle in the jar, it can be very pretty. But I wasn't sure what design I wanted to make. And then I had a disaster. Ok, maybe "disaster" is a bit of a stretch, but something did actually happen that led me to create something. Any excuse to crochet is a good excuse, right?

A year or so ago, someone had given me some sort of hanging bag and they weren't quite sure what's it's purpose was. Upon closer inspection, it was a hanging make-up / toiletry bag. My first thought when seeing it was "My hooks and other notions can go in there and I can hang it in my office!" And that's exactly what I did. Everything was great until I realized that my ever growing collection of crochet hooks was making the bag heavier than the Command hook on the wall could handle. And the walls in my office are textured, making them a natural enemy of Command hooks. Now I needed somewhere to put my most used hooks and I just happen to have a few empty mason jars. A recent purchase of a t-shirt with the words "Crafty like a fox" inspired me to make a foxy jar cover. And now I'm sharing it with you!

Rainbow Nesting Bowls

I've been seeing a lot of nesting and stacking crochet baskets lately. I also have a lot of yarn in my probably too big stash. I figured what better way to start using it up than to make my own set of baskets!

I love baskets and bins for storing all the things big and little. The great thing about these baskets is they can also be given to kids to help them learn their colors. I've also yet to come across a child who doesn't like to stack things up and knock them over. Repeatedly.
